Troop Leader
Lead a group of
girls and mentor them as they make new friends and develop connections
that will last a lifetime. Work with Membership staff and fellow
volunteers to start your own troop bringing adventure and
opportunities to girls in your area.

Ways to Volunteer
Be the troop leader that supports her every week—the one that watches her smile get bigger as she grows more confident. Mentor a Girl Scout Cookie Professional during cookie season so she can earn enough to reach the goals she and her troop set. Or work with other adults to provide the kind of behind-the-scenes support that makes it possible for her to make amazing new memories at Girl Scouts.
Whether you can give a few hours, a few weeks, or a few months, volunteering with Girl Scouts is flexible and fun.
Volunteer Roles

Juliette Mentor
Become a
leader for your own girl and mentor her through her own custom Girl
Scout Leadership experience. This is a great option for rural living
and homeschooling families. Connect with local girl scouts and the
council for enriching activities in addition to plans you design
together. Earn badges, sell cookies, become an engineer, explore the
outdoors, with 1-3 girls at a time.

Cookie Volunteers/Seasonal
Use your coordination skills to support the annual cookie sale
at the troop level. Set up cookie booths, manage inventory and money,
and then watch the girls light up when they earn the rewards for
running their business and meeting their goals!

Service Unit Volunteers/year round or episodic
Mentor adult volunteers as they work with Girl Scouts to
create memories they will never forget. Support the larger community
of Girl Scouts along with volunteers to maintain a positive and
productive culture of leadership that impacts your community.

Camp/Seasonal Volunteers
Help
the girls explore nature and find the fun outdoors. Our council offers
so many ways for girls to explore the outdoors and camp with fellow
Girl Scouts in their troop or based out of one of our Girl Scout
properties. Be there as she becomes a steward of our natural resources
and gain the skills she needs to take the lead and navigate the
world.
