About Our Camp
Camp Four Echoes is our beautiful 212-acre Windy Bay property occupying two miles of shoreline on Lake Coeur d’Alene. For the past 88 years, thousands of girls have come here to learn new skills, make new friends, and create lifelong memories. Our summer camp programs include sailing, windsurfing, swimming, canoeing, arts & crafts, hiking, dramatics, archery, outdoor skills, STEM, leadership courses, and now an aerial adventure park with a zipline.
Six various camping units house 18-24 girls weekly. Each unit has flush toilets and running water, but no electricity. Meals are held in the 11,500 square foot lodge, which was built in 2011.
Meet our Camp Four Echoes seasonal Camp Director, Katey Butler, also known as River. She has been with our Council for over a year, serving as a Program Specialist for the Idaho region. A lifelong Girl Scout from Oklahoma, Katey grew up attending Girl Scout camp in the plains of Cowboy Country. Katey is excited to bring her Midwest camping experience to the Pacific Northwest and to create lasting memories along the shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene.

FAMILY CAMP - May 22-25
FAMILY CAMP
All Ages
Camp Four Echoes is the perfect location to kick off the camping season! Bring a camp stove and enough food for your family (meals not included). There will be a few scheduled activities as well as a campfire to perform at and make s’mores over. Be as relaxed or as busy as you’d like. This is an alcohol, pet free weekend.
* Please note that you may be sharing units and some cooking space with other families.

TROOP CAMP - May 29-31

Enjoy summer troop camping at C4E! All troops will have swim time, arts & crafts and hiking. Bring a camp stove and enough food for your troop (meals not included).
Each troop must provide an adult who has completed Outdoor Essentials - Basic (or the equivalent). Each troop is required to have appropriate girl: adult ratios, and an adult that is certified in child and adult CPR/AED/First Aid. All adults attending the event must be currently registered Girl Scouts with a clear background check on file. Camp staff will lead a few programs during this weekend. Planning additional activities with your troop is highly encouraged! Cabins needed to be booked in accordance with Safety Activity Checkpoints (Adult cabin and Camper Cabin).

Welcome to the final step of your CIT journey. In this final part of the Counselor in Training program, you will learn the “ins and outs” of Camp Four Echoes. Spend time in units and program areas shadowing the counselors and program staff. Learn what is needed to make camp function in the way that it does. Plan the best and most fun all-camp activity you can think of. Going camping on the weekend to continue to grow your counselor skills.

ART ON THE LAKE

Brush stroke by brush stroke, design, and paint your masterpieces. With the help of our resident artist, discover the Picasso within you while experimenting with different paints, paper, canvas, and scenery. Maybe this is how Van Gogh got started!

Girl Scouts! Join us for this week of camp planned entirely by you! Make this a week of your own by joining together with other campers in this unit to plan out everything you will do this week. Whether it is swimming or boating in the lake or doing art or STEM in the lodge. Plan a week around all the amazing things Camp Four Echoes has to offer.

You’ve tried it, liked it and now you want to spend a lot more time at the archery range! Sharpen your skills like the tip of an arrow and increase your abilities as an archer. You’ll earn the Cadette Archery badge, of course. Maybe even try some archery arts and crafts!

Hey Cadettes! Your adventure at Camp Four Echoes awaits! This week you will work with your unit mates and counselors to plan the most fun week at camp you can think of. Want to go for a hike? Let’s do it! Want to try out various boating options on the lake? I don’t see why not! Want to get messy with all kinds of crafts? Be our guest. This week can be whatever you can dream it!

Do you ever wish you could get a better view? Or see the world from a different perspective? This week you will have an opportunity to do exactly that! You will have the chance to try out our brand-new High Ropes course at Camp Four Echoes! There is no need to worry, there will be tons of time to swim, make art, and sing lots of camp songs!

You will have an opportunity to swim, boat, hike, and cook out over a campfire. There are not enough hours in the day to experience all the fun that camp has in store.

You love to paddle board, so spend every day this week on the water of Lake Coeur d’Alene. Eat breakfast on the beach and watch the sunrise, joust with pool noodles, master the Tennessee wiggle walk, maybe even paddle to the marsh. Don’t worry, you will get to enjoy some of the other aspects of camp too!

JUST A PINCH

Come try a pinch of everything Camp Four Echoes has to offer. In this jam-packed half-week session Girl Scouts will get to try crafts, go swimming in the lake, try boating, and anything else they have time for! This is a great introduction to camp for Girl Scouts who are not quite ready for a full week away at camp.

MYSTERIES ON LAKE COEUR D'ALENE

There is a mystery to be solved and the best detectives are on the case. Join us at camp to search for clues, investigate the scene of the crime, and hopefully catch the suspect at the end. Learn how to take fingerprints, use invisible ink, and so much more at this short week at camp.

This is your chance to try a bit of everything at camp. Archery, boating, water balloon slingshots, swimming, and hiking are just a few of the things to choose from. Make new friends while trying new things!

This year has been wild and crazy, come to Camp Four Echoes and unwind for the week. Spend your time finding your inner peace with some yoga. Make homemade bath bombs. This week has no rush to it, just come to camp to enjoy nature and relax!

Would you know what to do if you woke up in the morning and suddenly all of your counselors were ZOMBIES? Spend this week honing your survival skills so that if this event were to happen in the future, you and your friends would be the ones to survive! Learn how to build a fire, how to tie various knots, how to shoot a bow, navigate the obstacles of the challenge course, and so much more!

WATER YOU WAITING FOR??

Grab your lake shoes and your lifejackets and head on down to the lake for this week of jam-packed water fun. Become an expert of the water by completing your tippy test, learning how to paddle various boats, and swimming from dock to dock. There may even be time to have lunch on the beach or at the marsh! Water are you waiting for?? Join us for these aquatic adventures!

FROM THE TRAIN TO THE TREETOPS
6th-10th
Adventure starts on the ground and soars to new heights during this session at C4E. Grab your hiking boots and fassen your helmets because this week will be fill of hiking, teambuilding, and ropes course challenges. Hike to the highest point at Camp Four Echoes and even spend the night. Learn survival skills such as tying knots and fire building. Spend time at the lake cooling off from souring high on the Savannah Summit course. Every step of this journey will fuel your spirit of adventure.

It's time to enter your camp era! Campers will dance and sing to their favorite songs at the amphitheater, make friendship bracelets to share, and create your own songbooks. With classic camp fun like swimming, campfires, and stargazing, this is a week full of music, magic, and memories.

Grab your daypacks and join us for a day of exploration at Camp Four Echoes. Make sure have all the essentials as we adventure through the forest, dive into the lake, and paddle around in our little canoes. Experience all the wonders that camp has to offer at this short day program.

ADRENALINE RUSH
9th-12th
Are you an adrenaline junky? Do you aspire to become one? Spend a week at Camp Four Echoes exploring all of the adrenaline the Idaho Panhandle has to offer! Spend a day white water rafting. Spend an afternoon in the trees as we head to a local ropes course to soar down a Zipline. While you are at camp, you will have plenty of time to enjoy other camp offerings like swimming and arts and crafts!

SHIPWRECKED
6th-10th
Imagine that your group has been shipwrecked on a deserted island in a place far, far away called Smuggler’s Cove. Some people might think that’s a bad thing, but really…what’s not to love? Just you and a group of friends hanging out in the woods and on the beach of this fantastic lake. There’s no schedule to worry about, no hustle and bustle. Just the sound of the wind and the birds in the trees. Of course, there’s plenty to do on this “island,” like canoeing, swimming, craft projects and cooking out. It’s a great chance to just hang out until your rescue.

WHERE'S YOUR PADDLE

The waterfront at camp is a favorite for most campers. Spend your week mastering your paddling skills. You will get to canoe or kayak to the marsh for lunch and eat breakfast on the beach at sunrise. Once you’ve mastered the paddling techniques, you will ditch the paddle to have a sunken canoe race with your group!

Get ready to climb, swing, and soar during this week at camp. This session is all about adventure and teamwork. With plenty of time for swimming, campfires, and starry night storytelling, this session is perfect for dreamers, adventurers, and anyone ready to believe in a little magic.

Design a week of camp based around what your fellow campers want to do. Swimming at the H-dock? Consider it done. Hiking to around camp? better lace up those boots. Playing a prank on another unit? Enter nature’s laboratory and learn about the wonders of the natural world! Young adventurers will explore the wonders of the forest around them through hands-on science experiments, wildlife observation, and exciting outdoor activities. Campers will learn about ecosystems and conduct eco-friendly experiments, all while fostering a love for nature. Don’t worry, there will still be time to partake in so many other things camp has to offer too!

Discover and nurture your leadership qualities while learning skills from other members of staff. You will have the opportunity to shadow staff members as well as lead activities with younger campers while planning an all-camp activity.
