Learn the basic skills needed to have fun and keep girls safe in the outdoors, including outdoor cooking, outdoor skills, safety, planning, and more, in this outdoor educational experience. GSEWNI requires this training for volunteers who wish to take girls camping in the outdoors at developed campsites.
For this training, please bring a tent if you have one; if you don't have a tent, they can be rented from the GSENWI loan locker. We will be camping at a local campsite. Learning will start at 9 am. We will provide lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday. The equipment list will be provided with a confirmation email following the close of registration.
From Leavenworth, take US-2 West for 15 miles. At Coles Corner, turn right on WA-207 North and follow it for 3.6 miles. Turn left onto Cedar Brae Road and go 0.1 mile. Take the first left to enter the campground.
