The Wilderness First Aid course provides the knowledge, skills and confidence to respond to a medical emergency in a remote or wilderness setting. To take a troop on a backcountry trip that is further than 30 minutes from the help of medical professionals, GSUSA and GSEWNI requires that one registered accompanying adult must complete the Wilderness First Aid course. This course will include hand's on practice with others in your class as you are learning the skills. Please dress in comfortable, nonrestrictive clothing allowing you to lie, stoop, bend, squat and kneel.

For Ambassadors, this class will cover Step 3 of the First Aid Badge.

This is a two-day, 16-hour course, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day. Snacks and lunch will be provided. Please bring a refillable water bottle.

Prerequisites: Adult or All Ages CPR/AED and First Aid certification is required.

As part of the fee, each participant will receive the Student Wilderness First Aid manual.

Registration ends 5/30/25
