This Wilderness First Aid course provides blended on-line and “in-person” training that meets the GSUSA requirements for Wilderness First Aid. If girls will be attending a Girl Scout event more than 30 minutes drive from 24/7 emergency services, at least one adult GS volunteer at the event must have Wilderness First Aid.
After registering, GSEWNI will provide you with a link to a series of Wilderness First Aid videos from the American Safety & Health Institute. You must finish these on-line trainings before attending the in-person session where you will demonstrate skills learned from the videos to GSEWNI’s certified Wilderness First Aid instructor.
If you do not finish the on-line trainings, you may attend the in-person class, but you will not be issued a Wilderness First Aid card, nor will you receive a refund for the class.
As part of the fee, each participant will receive the Student Wilderness First Aid manual.
Please bring a completed Adult Health History form to the training.
