As part of our celebration of Women's History Month we begin a new series called Trailblazer Tuesdays which highlights a woman trailblazer each month. This new series is FREE to Girl Scouts of all ages. It takes place, via ZOOM, on the last Tuesday of every month.
We are honored to invite Valarie Gelb, Girl Scout National Board member, to share her trailblazing inspirations with our Girl Scouts and volunteers on April’s Trailblazer Tuesdy, 27 April, 6:30 pm. We are privileged she will discuss the state of the Girl Scout movement at our annual meeting and then discuss leadership on the following Tuesday with our trailblazers. Valarie lives in Rhode Island and is a Chief Executive Officer, Corporate Executive and Board Advisor with extensive experience driving sustainable growth for large, multi-national financial services companies. Her breadth and depth of expertise includes strategy development and execution, financial and portfolio management. Her love of Girl Scouts is deep. She started a Camp CEO STEM program for older girls and helped spearhead the opportunity for girls to be involved with a solar lighting company. She is a trailblazer for girls and women and we are honored for her to share her lessons for our Girl Scouts to grow from!
