Have you heard? An amazing spacecraft landing is about to take place—for all to see! Six months ago (July 30th, 2020), NASA launched the Perseverance rover on a mission named Mars 2020. Its main job is to seek signs of ancient life and collect samples of rock and regolith (broken rock and soil) for possible return to Earth. But first, it must go through 7 minutes of terror to achieve a successful landing. Join us midday to see a live broadcast of this incredible landing, narrated by NASA, and hosted by local Amateur astronomer Kathy Moore to help answer questions as you watch.
