The lnnoverge biology curriculum is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of interesting topics in biological science, seeking to focus on ethical issues in biology, exposing students to bioethical questions that scientists today are still grappling with.
Part 1 (Tuesday August 17th):
Students will learn about DNA and its structure in an interactive presentation and by creating their own DNA models. This will help students prepare for Workshop #2 which covers DNA sequencing and the Human Genome Project.
Virtual: 3:30pm - 4:30pm over ZOOM
In Person: 5:30pm - 6:30pm at the Spokane Program Center
These workshops are meant to be taught in approximate order, as they build upon material from previous workshops. For each workshop, choose whether you will attend virtually OR in-person (you can mix and match if needed, but you must register ahead of time). Workshops #2 (Tuesday August 24th) and #3 (Tuesday August 31st) require separate registrations. Please attend all 3 if you can!
Please double check that you've entered the correct mailing address during registration.
