The lnnoverge biology curriculum is intended to provide a comprehensive overview of interesting topics in biological science, seeking to focus on ethical issues in biology, exposing students to bioethical questions that scientists today are still grappling with.
Part 3 (Tuesday August 31st):
Students will dive deeper into the world of genetics and learn about CRISPR, an emerging technology that makes genome editing possible. After a presentation on the CRISPR-Cas9 system and how it works, students will build models of CRISPR-Cas9 and engage in discussions about the ethics and implications of this new technology.

These workshops are meant to be taught in approximate order, as they build upon material from previous workshops. For each workshop, choose whether you will attend virtually OR in-person (you can mix and match if needed, but you must register ahead of time). This is the last workshop in this series.
