On February 18, 2021, after 6 long months of flying through space, the Mars rover called Perseverance will land on Jezero Crater, Mars to seek signs of ancient life and collect samples of rock and regolith (broken rock and soil) for possible return to Earth. But first, it must go through 7 minutes of terror to achieve a successful landing! Join us online as one of our awesome astronomy club leaders- Anna- and local amateur astronomers Kathy and Paul explain how NASA engineered this amazing spacecraft, and how Perseverance is equipped for a successful landing. Will they land it successfully? Tune in Feb 18th for a live broadcast of the landing.
