Even as the 2020 camp experience may change this year for many girls, GSEWNI is committed to providing onsite and virtual summer camp options to girls throughout our council.

This summer, beginning in July, we are expanding our day and resident camp fun to include a Camp @ Home experience delivered right to your door! Each week you attend, a different themed camp experience will arrive in a box that includes:

  1. 5-7 activities/box with supplies* with detailed directions

  1. 4 live Zoom meetings throughout the week with staff  (registered Girl Scouts only)

  1. Final camp ceremonies

A typical live meeting may include interactive games, camp songs, guest experts, guided activities and videos to extend our hands-on fun!

*some supplies, such as scissors, markers, and common household materials will not be included

Camp @ Home Pricing: $50/week

Girl Scouts: includes the box of activities mailed to your door AND 4-5 hours of live content

Non-Girl Scouts: includes just the box of activities mailed to your door

Or, join for $45 and get an extra year of membership (through September 2021) at a discounted rate!

Daisies/Brownies (K-3rd grade)

9-10am Monday-Friday on Zoom*

You’ll get to explore kitchen science this week! From making your own plastic out of milk to creating invisible ink, you’ll learn all about the chemistry of cooking. Cap it off with a Chopped!-inspired challenge, where you’ll cook your own dish using the mystery ingredients we’ll send you (and anything else you have at home to add!).

Juniors/Cadettes (4th-8th grade)

2-3pm Monday-Friday on Zoom*

You’ll be “Mixing It Up” this week in the kitchen as you cook and learn about the chemistry behind some of your food. On the cooking side of things, you’ll make mozzarella cheese and participate in a Chopped!-inspired challenge, and on the chemistry side of things, you’ll learn about pH and iodine in an iodized salt experiment. So get ready to strap on that apron and get messy.

*Girl Scouts only on Zoom.
