Girl Scouts Love State Parks Day - Riverside State Park
Join us with your troop your family as we celebrate our exciting new partnership with Washington and Idaho State Parks. Girl Scouts across the nation will participate in activities led by State Parks, outdoor community partners, and Girl Scout Councils on July 13-14. Girl Scouts of Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho will host an event at three of our beautiful parks on July 13, 2019, with the option to camp overnight on your own on July 14 at two of our parks.
For your adventure at Riverside State Park, activities will include camping skills, Leave No Trace (Stewardship), knot tying, navigation & compassing, activities with the Junior Ranger Program and Outdoor Cooking. Then, on Sunday morning we will be giving back to our great State Parks with a trail clean up (optional, but strongly encouraged.)
The event will be outdoors, please dress appropriately. Lunch will not be provided, but we will take a 1 hour break between sessions for a picnic. Please bring your own meal.
This is a family friendly event, but children must be accompanied by an adult and space is limited! Be one of the first 50 to register and you will receive a free GSUSA Loves State Parks patch! Additional patches will be available for purchase.
**Discover Passes will NOT be required for this event. You will receive a temporary parking pass prior to the event from GSEWNI.
