It is time for the largest community planting event in Spokane. Reforest Spokane Day will take place on October 14 and hundreds will join together to plant nearly 2,000 trees along the Spokane River. Meet at Olmstead Brothers Green at 10am for coffee, snacks, and learn why your help to plant these trees helps to keep our Spokane River healthy and beautifies are wonderful Spokane River Gorge.

If you are interested sign up at www.landscouncil.org. You will need to bring work gloves, shovels, buckets, and good shoes and clothes that you don't mind getting dirty and wet. Prepare for cold and warm weather as well as wet. We need willing leaders to help look out for other volunteers safety and proper tree planting. Help us make the event run more smoothly.

Leader training will be at 8:45am on Saturday the 14th before the event.
