Jamboree on the Air (JOTA) is a world-wide event held on the 3rd weekend in October. It is a time when scouts connect with other scouts over amateur radio, with the assistance of the local Amateur Radio Club (HAM radio operators).

Drop into the basement of the Boy Scout office anytime between 9am and 5pm to learn about Amatuer (Ham) Radio. There will be displays and activities and a chance to talk on the radio. These activities will fulfill some of the requirements towards the Girl Scout and Boy Scout radio Badges.

This is a FREE event. You can spend half an hour or the whole day - it is your choice. It is most appropriate for Brownies on up. Younger scouts should plan to have a parent or buddy who can help them with the reading and writing.

See the Flyer for details and badge requirements.

Email Carrie with any questions regarding participation in this event.
