WSU Campus Tour

Washington State University - Pullman, WA

Spend the day on the WSU Campus with educators as your guide and instructor. We’ll meet at 9:30am at the French Administration building, and then we’ll be off to an action packed tour of four campus departments with university professors to explain what you are seeing: Veterinary, Botany, Physics and Chemistry.

Take a guided tour of the Veterinary Medicine Teaching Museum and shake hands with a human skeleton. The docent will show you how an ostrich’s neck is like your own and you’ll see that your foot is much more like a horse’s than you might think.

Step inside the Abelson Greenhouse, where it is always summer. You’ll see plants that are carnivorous and some that fold away in shock when you touch them.

A visit to the Physics Department offers many exciting (and hair-raising!) demonstrations. Remember to cover your ears when the Chemistry professor suggests you may want to. If you like explosions, you’ll love learning about the difference between helium and hydrogen gases.

Finally, we will stop at Ferdinand’s for a delicious ice cream cone made in the campus creamery.
