Girls will have the opportunity to hike through fields of wild flowers and pine forest while conversing about local geological formative events. Then it's on to the Mineral museum and Identification Lab, where students try hands-on experiments. And the best part of the day is heading to Gem Hill to dig for iron pyrite, quartz, and flourite crystals, obsidian, and many more exciting rocks and minerals.
Open to Girl Scouts of all ages, and families.
Fee: $13.00 per person
