It’s Snow Secret. . .
December 29-31–$20 per day
Ahh Winter, one of the seasons that makes us feel all warm and fuzzy. Skate at the Ice Palace in Riverfront Park, then warm up with hot cocoa (mmm chocolate). Go nutty, as you make your very own nutcracker. Chill out and end the week with an early New Year’s party. How cool is that?
Hours: 9 am to 4 pm
Be a part of the inaugural year of girls choosing the next Outdoor badges. If you have a girl who loves learning new skills, we want to hear from her! There will be four Outdoor Badges added to program in fall 2015-one each at Brownie, Junior, Cadette, and Senior levels. ALL Girl Scouts; Daisies - Ambassadors, may vote.
A "Girls' Choice" process will be used that includes polling our girl membership to determine what those badges are. The intention is to use this "Girls' Choice" process going forward for future badge development. "Girls' Choice" means that girls will take the lead on deciding which new badges will be created.
Timeline: October 31 - November 30: Girls will vote on the content area they are interested in within the Outdoor Category. The choices will be Outdoor Recreation, Outdoor Environment or Outdoor Survival.
December 1 - December 31: Girls will vote on the actual badge topic (for example, Hiking, Camping, Trail Blazing, etc.) based on their grade level in the coming year.
March 12, 2015: The four Outdoor badges will be announced.
April, 2015: Content and Product Development will take place.
June 2015: Badge content will be shared.
